This endowment fund was named in memory of Kay Ritter Hassiotis, the
daughter of Tom and Charlotte Ritter, who was tragically killed in an
automobile accident in November of 1994. The Ritters have been very
supportive of the ministry at Community Care Fellowship from the very
beginning and were an essential key to the completion of the new building at
a very critical moment.
At Kay’s death the family asked that memorials for her be made to Community
Care Fellowship. One of the first memorials to be given was from a group of
forty families in Atlanta who were the neighbors of Kay and her family. The
Governance Committee of Community Care Fellowship had been considering the
establishment of an endowment fund for several years at the suggestion of
Tom Ritter who had once served on the Committee. When this tragic event
happened there was no doubt that the time had come to establish the
endowment fund. It seemed fitting to name it in memory of Kay.
The purpose of the endowment is to build a large enough fund so that the
interest realized can be used to supplement the regular contributions to the
ministry of Community Care Fellowship as the ministry continues to grow.
We invite you to share in the ministry described in these pages. You may do
so, as many others have, by making a memorial gift to the ministry in the
name of a loved one or friend. When a memorial gift is made the family of
the person designated is notified by a letter telling them that you have
given to The Kay Ritter Hassiotis Endowment Fund in memory of that person.
The letter will contain a copy of a brochure which shares with them the very
worthy purposes of the ministry. Gifts should be made
