MEALS

The need for food is common to us all. Not all of us have equal access to it. At CCF we try to do our part to make it a little more accessible. Along with Loaves & Fishes at Holy Name Catholic Church a noon meal is available every day of the week in East Nashville.  Loaves & Fishes provides a meal on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and we at CCF serve on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. (Sunday meals are prepared and served by area churches using our kitchen.)

Monday through Friday we provide a morning snack which serves as breakfast for many of our guests. An afternoon snack is prepared for the children in the after-school program Monday through Friday.

Food supplies provided by Second Harvest Food Bank, Nashville Table and food donated by other groups help to keep our cost for actual food under fifty cents ($.50) per plate. Volunteers help with serving the noon meals which helps to keep the overall costs providing food low.
